Word of the Day - 2/28

Hoorah for Monday! I'm in a happy, goofy sort of mood, so today's entry is a happy, goofy sort of thing--hopefully it'll get the week off to a great start. So, the word of the day (and yes, I know I'm pulling the same trick I pulled last week--but what can I say?) is....

sonrisa--you betcha--another Spanish word--but those Spaniards are doing something right because today's word (like last week's) also has two meanings that work really nicely together. First, a sonrisa is a smile--second, a sunrise. If we look at Tom's picture, the sky doesn't seem yet to be entirely lit by the sunrise--it's like a realization--a smile just starting to form on the lips of a happy person--whose face inevitably will brighten the world. And beyond that...I just like the thought that morning greets us all with a smile (and so I say, smile right back!). Have a wonderful day!
